How to Add an Additional Image to an Exercise

A Step-by-Step Guide

Adding an extra image to an exercise is a quick and straightforward process. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Your Exercise: From your dashboard, go to the workout builder. Then, navigate to the specific exercise where you want to add an image.
  2. Access the Options Menu: Once you're inside the exercise details, look for the three dotted menu (often called an "ellipsis" menu). Click on it.
  3. Select "Add Attachment": A drop-down menu will appear. Click on "Add attachment".
  4. Choose Your Image Source: You'll be presented with two options:
    • Use an existing image: Select an image that you've already uploaded to the platform.
    • Upload from your computer: Choose a new image directly from your device.
  5. Select and Confirm: Once you've chosen your desired image, click "Add attachment" to finalise the process.

Previewing Your Added Image(s)

To make sure your new image looks great, you can easily preview it:
  • Simply click on the attachment chip associated with the exercise. This will open a preview of your image.
  • If you've uploaded multiple images, you can navigate between them using the carousel buttons within the preview window.

Tips & Best Practices
  • Clarity is Key: Choose images that clearly demonstrate the exercise or a specific aspect of it. Avoid blurry or poorly lit photos.
  • Vary Your Angles: Consider adding images that show the exercise from different angles (e.g., front, side, back) to provide a complete view.
  • Highlight Common Mistakes: Use an additional image to illustrate a common form error, helping users avoid injuries.
  • Show Modifications: If an exercise has variations or modifications, an extra image can be invaluable for demonstrating these.
  • Keep it Relevant: Ensure the added image directly contributes to the understanding of the exercise.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
  • Image Not Uploading: Check your internet connection.
  • Ensure the image file type is supported (e.g., JPEG, PNG).
  • Verify the image size is within any specified limits.
  • Attachment Chip Not Appearing: After adding the attachment, make sure you've saved any changes to the exercise.
  • Refresh your browser page.
  • Preview Not Opening: Try clicking the attachment chip again.
  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try again.
