Pod1um is a multi-sided marketplace designed specifically for the performance coaching industry. It brings together three key user groups:

  • Athletes – Individuals across all levels, sports, and locations seeking expert guidance.

  • Coaches – Verified performance specialists offering training plans, consultations, and personalised services.

  • Promoters – Influencers, affiliates, or coaches who drive user acquisition and earn commissions through referrals.

This structure creates network effects where value increases for each group as the others grow.

How do coaches earn revenue?

1. Referral commissions

Coaches earn when they promote Pod1um or invite athletes. This includes:

  • Organic discovery (e.g., via Google, Pod1um profile)

  • Direct marketing using a custom referral link

  • Client imports (teams, clubs, facility members, etc.)

A coach who brings athletes to the platform can earn monthly recurring income even if they don't sell their own services on Pod1um.

2. Selling coaching services & content

There’s no fee to create or host content. Coaches earn through:

  • 1-to-1 Coaching & Consultations

  • Content & Plan Sales

  • Membership Usage

  • Referral Commissions

3. Membership / Subscription revenue (Available to verified/featured coaches)

Pod1um offers Bronze, Silver, and Gold memberships, giving athletes flexible access to training content while coaches earn on every plan used.

Key Details:

  • Content access is removed if a user cancels their membership.

  • Athletes also get access to premium features, integrations, and support.

How membership revenue is shared among coaches

Coaches collectively earn 50% of the net membership revenue from each athlete’s subscription with Pod1um. This share is divided proportionally based on how many active days each coach’s training plans remain in the athlete’s library during the paid subscription period. “Active days” refers to the total number of days a plan is accessible and retained by the athlete before they cancel or swap plans. If multiple coaches’ plans are active simultaneously (Silver/Gold members), the revenue is split relative to the share of active days each coach’s content holds. This ensures coaches are fairly compensated for the actual usage of their content, whether over a full month or a partial period.

We’ve added a powerful new way for coaches to earn:

Invite other coaches to Pod1um and earn a percentage of what they earn — forever.

How it works:

If you refer a coach to the platform, you’ll earn:

  • 20% of their monthly referral commissions

    • Example: If they earn €300 in referral commissions in a month, you earn €60

  • This is paid by Pod1um, not deducted from the other coach’s payout

  • Applied automatically each month if you referred that coach

This is a true lifetime, second-tier commission — passive income as your coaching network grows.

AI credits commission (Coming soon)

When Pod1um’s AI features launch later this year, coaches can upgrade to access tools like:

  • Smart content creation

  • Personalised athlete training suggestions

  • Automated insights

If a coach you referred upgrades to an AI plan, you will earn a recurring commission on that upgrade too.

Promotion, referrals & lifetime earnings

Coaches can promote any content or service (their own or others') and earn a referral commission. Coaches may also invite approved sub-affiliates (e.g., athletes or influencers) and receive an adjusted share from their sales.

Lifetime Commissions mean that even if an athlete later engages with a different coach/product, the original referrer continues earning on all future transactions.

Pod1um’s share

Revenue retained by Pod1um is reinvested in:

  • Global marketing and athlete acquisition

  • Feature development and platform growth

  • World-class athlete support services

This supports a virtuous cycle of growth that benefits all coaches.

Payments

  • Payment Providers: PayPal and Stripe Connect (setup via your dashboard).

  • Payout Schedule: Monthly, on the 23rd (or next working day).

  • Minimum Payout: €50.00
